Music Gateway is proud to announce that vocal diva Angie Brown will be joining Music Gateway, working with us throughout our vocal competition as one of the many experienced judges.

Every artiste needs a big break and Angie’s came in the early nineties when she was freelancing for an agency in an attempt to become known. Then came Bizarre Inc. who were looking for a big voice to perform their next track following the success of “Playing with knives”. One audition and three months later the “I’m Gonna Get You” was mixed and the pre-sales were 45,000, it went straight into the UK National charts at no. 17 and finally rested at no. 2.  Overall sales in the UK alone including compilations were 300,000 and in other territories around the world sales have been over 2 million.

With the success of “I’m Gonna Get You” Angie was able to launch a career as the singer we all know and love today.  She still appears either as a featured artiste or more recently on all new projects co-writing tracks with the DJ’s/producers of her choice.

Some of Angie’s most prestigious clubs, parties, gigs includes the King of Morocco’s 21st Birthday party, Kate Driver’s wedding (sister of Minnie Driver).  Clubs like Space (Ibiza), Heaven (London & Gran Canaria Pride) to venues in New York, San Francisco, Dubai, India and Europe.  She has also been the headline guest/act for the UK’s biggest ‘Euro Pride’ in Manchester and London for the last ten years.

Besides performing live Angie has also appeared as a TV personality on many of the prime time shows including ‘Good Morning’, ‘GMTV’, ‘The Lottery’, ‘Top of the Pops’.  Plus numerous TV and radio shows both in Europe and USA.

We had the pleasure of chatting with Angie Brown on camera, she has so many fascinating stories to tell. We arrived at her house in south east London and were immediately greeted with her powerhouse charisma. As soon as you get into a conversation with Angie you feel as though you’ve known her for years. After conversing for about 20 minutes we simply had to stop “No, wait! Stop! We need to get at least some of this on camera!”, we got far too carried away with ourselves there.

Details of the competitions will be announced soon. Angie is looking to expand upon her own projects in addition to generating even more session work for herself, so you can catch Angie on Music Gateway in 2013, we wish her all the best for her future endeavours.
