Singer-Songwriter Brooke Law has released her eclectic new single ‘Hunger’ – a profoundly unique gem, you won’t hear anywhere else!
This powerful tune takes listeners through the notions behind those addictive moments when obsession takes full reign. ‘Hunger’ serves as a vital symbolism of the arising feelings of emptiness. Brooke’s rich and earthy voice allows her to carry the track through the array of emotions needed to convey a strong sense of reality. This allows for the song to hold a melancholic yet fierce melody – a unique blend!
‘Hunger’, is a shining example of Brooke’s high drive for instilling change within herself and others. The track was written as an attempt to overcome Brooke’s own struggles with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
“I was inspired to write Hunger when trying to overcome my own OCD and figuring out where it stems from. I know a lot of people deal with similar issues, so I hope this song goes some way in helping others to not feel alone. Hopefully, it encourages people to talk about it.”
Brooke’s mindset centres around empowerment and individuality. She is an active voice for gender equality, participating in marches, fundraising for victims and even appearing on Sky news! Brooke recently appeared on London Live to discuss her new single ‘Hunger’ and the impact of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak on independent musicians.
These morals and values are also at the forefront of her artistic style. Brooke describes her sound as empowering and driven – taking influence from her multicultural family. Growing up in a family with European and Asian descent, freedom of expression was strongly encouraged. Moreover, this positivity and diversity surrounding her inspired her to channel her beliefs through music, which is what makes her music so authentic.
This electrifying entity has already made a name for herself in the industry gaining support from the BBC Asian & BBC Introducing Essex Networks, who named Brooke as one of their ‘Artists to Watch’ at the end of 2019. Additionally, she has also featured on playlists in Jigsaw, Phase Eight and Links of London. With Brooke breaking into the scene so quickly, she will definitely be one to look out for!
