Latin Superstar Daddy Yankee Confirmed at Midem 2017
Midem is renowned for providing those in attendance with influential guest speakers who educate, inspire and advise and this year is no different. Taking place in Cannes from 6-9th of June 2017 Midem have confirmed a latin superstar, labelled as one of the most influential figures in Urban Latin Music, Puerto Rican singer, songwriter, actor and producer Daddy Yankee. Not only is he a confirmed speaker at this year’s Midem but will participate as a Midem Artist Accelerator Ambassador.
Being the most heard Latino on Spotify and having a multitude of awards under his belt including, 2x Latin Grammy winner, 9x Latin Music Billboard winner, founder of El Cartel Records, he has been hailed as a leading figure in today’s global musical landscape. Daddy Yankee is going to share his wealth of knowledge and reveal his secrets of success to those at midem, discussing the power of social media. In an exclusive talk entitled “From Local to Global: The Power of Social Media” Daddy Yankee will share his vision of social media and digital strategies, and with over 40 million followers he has successfully leveraged the power of social media and embraced innovative digital marketing tools to engage with his fans and develop his career internationally. So who better to learn from,? The talk is due to be held at the conference on Thursday 8th June.
But that is not all, Daddy Yankee is also acting as an Ambassador for Midem’s Artist Accelerator. The programme works as a career booster for emerging talent, providing them with industry mentors, coaching sessions and the opportunity to perform at Midem which will be awash with key industry figures. As an Ambassador he will hold an exclusive conversation with the finalists, during which he will share his expertise. “I’m thrilled to be at Midem for the first time and honoured to be invited as a speaker as well as Ambassador and member of the 2017 Midem Artist Accelerator Artistic Committee. I’m ready to share my knowledge of more than 20 years in the music business with the Midem audience and these rising stars,” said Daddy Yankee.
