Hailing from London, independent artist Distorted Noise will release his upcoming single ‘Lacerate‘ on 31st July, continuing his crusade into the hip-hop genre.
A dynamic blend of alternative rock and hip-hop, ‘Lacerate‘ is a testament to his musical past and present.
Following the journey of a man seeking revenge. ‘Lacerate‘ utilises raspy, soft-spoken vocals, trap beats along with dark and introspective lyrical themes. Set around the events after a car crash, the track allows us to explore the inner thoughts and feelings as he tries to process what has happened.
A self-produced music video for ‘Lacerate‘ is also said to be in the works and will be shown to the world following the initial release of the single. Set to feature many of the same visuals as his previous music video for ‘Falling Away’, this upcoming video will be made of visual glitches, camera shakes and sporadic flashing lyrics.
An independent artist from London, Distorted Noise -aka Nick- sits at the crossroads between genres. With influences ranging from Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance to Billie Eilish and Tyler, The Creator, Nick has been noted for his ability to blend hip-hop and alt-rock music.
Over the last two years, Nick has been studying at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. Honing in on and developing his musical abilities.
Now armed with a wider knowledge of genres and artists, Nick explores and experiments with the hip-hop genre. Having already received praise for his first hip hop venture, ‘Falling Away‘ was noted for its honest and powerful approach to a sensitive topic.
