Recorded in Beverly Hills and engineered by Patrick Collier, ‘Tattoo’ was intended to ooze that ideal ‘honeymoon love’ feeling, which is perfectly matched by its R&B & pop influences.
Dylan Carbone hoped to create a “Robin Thicke kind of vibe” for ‘Tattoo’, with the aim of creating a similar romantic feel to the hit single ‘Lost Without You’. Dylan put his signature unique stamp on the track by singing the track in Spanish and experimenting with modern R&B instrumentation. ‘Tattoo’ is out now, and available on all streaming platforms.
Dylan Carbone (real name: Nicholas Carbone) grew up in Corona, Southern California, and started dancing when he was only nine years old. He started playing the guitar at 16 to support himself financially (primarily for taking girls out on dates)! He wrote his first song to a girl he believed he was in love with, but it turned out he was mainly in love with the process of writing and performing songs. Music runs in Dylan’s family, and both his grandparents were musicians. Whilst English is his first language, he considers Spanish his ‘love language’, which he had to learn independently to communicate with his grandparents. Whilst his Spanish isn’t perfect, he believes singing in ‘Spanglish’ gives him a unique charm.
Dylan Carbone’s music is a fusion of who and what he is – with his favourite genres being R&B and soul. He combines the best elements of both English and Latin music to create his own unique brand of pop. Using each track as a chance to showcase his thoughts and ideas to the world.
