Yesterday was filled with excitement for the upcoming 2.0 launch of the site. Okay, so the ACTUAL launch of the new site is next week. But we’ve been working around the clock since we first started talking about these additions to Music Gateway back in March and we were excited to share what we’re doing with everyone who could make it.
There was a little bit of disruption towards the beginning of the evening due to a bomb scare at Angel Tube Station which saw most of the area around the building evacuated and blocked off so for anyone who was caught up in that and therefore couldn’t make it, we’re sorry for the inconvenience and we hope everyone’s okay!
Our friends at Ticketmaster were kind enough to lend us their Imperial Bar, which is an awesome venue, everything about it oozes cool. But the coolest thing, was the slide which is now the only way we’ll be making an entrance (entrance options depending).
Firstly, the sync team put together a wonderful playlist of music that we’ve represented over the time we’ve been working in the sync space which you can follow on Spotify, you never know, maybe you’re on it!
We also had our very own Elle Exxe perform her newest single, Home With You. This rendition was completely stripped back and all of Elle’s au natural talent was on display and people absolutely loved it.
Jon Skinner (our CEO & Founder) was introduced by Lucas (our Sync & Licensing / Justin Timberlake look-a-like) to say a few words about what we’re doing, how we got here and why we got here. It was a great piece filled with personal anecdotes that explained our story and what we’re doing. I’ve drawn up a brief analysis of this which you can view here.
Our friends over at Bondi and Lost Rivers kitted out the fridges for our guests which had everyone intrigued and it wasn’t long until it made it’s way up their list of favourites, which is good as there was plenty of it to go around!
It was wonderful to share our launch updates with friends old and new including some of our most active members and clients.
