Featuring a children’s choir, alongside a rich & moving violin and cello to support FIAA’s stunning vocals, ‘One Day’ was born from a fall-out and nurtured into a voice for those who struggle and a sense of unity for when times are tough. – Out December 4th
‘One Day’ was written with the help of multiple talented songwriters, including Rag N Bone Man. FIAA wrote the track via video chat sessions until they could come together to record the song at Dean Street Studios.
The track was initially inspired by a fall-out that FIAA had with her best friend that she grew up with, in foster care. She realised that the connection and shared experiences she had with that friend meant they had a bond like no other – like family. Exploring this theme further, FIAA identified this was a shared experience for all children who grew up in care and altered the lyrics to be inclusive of them. She hopes the track reflects this sentiment, and that after a challenging year for all, people can relate to the idea that “one day it will all be okay”.
The track features a children’s choir alongside rich & moving violin and cello to support FIAA’s stunning vocal. ‘One Day’ is a means for FIAA to represent & give a voice to children who face struggles like she did when growing up, and she hopes the track inspires a sense of unity, even when times are tough. The proceeds from the single will go to children’s charities, including Children In Need, Action For Children UK. Barnardo’s and PWSA UK.
UK singer FIAA possesses a voice to awaken the heart and soul, sharing her unique story and real-life struggles through her music.
Earlier in 2020, she released debut single ‘Name In Lights’, which epitomises her unstoppable strength and determination to showcase her talent with the entire world, receiving over 30,000 organic streams without any distribution support. FIAA’s vocal channels heartfelt and emotive energy similar to Emeli Sande, Ella Henderson and Ella Eyre.
FIAA featured on the BBC One show ‘Little Mix: The Search’ where she wowed all four members and won a place in the final eight girls. Since her appearance on the show, FIAA has found her inner confidence and determination to glow & achieve her lifelong plans. One of her goals was to release a charity single in support of this year’s Children In Need appeal.
