Emerging rapper Isaac Suh releases ‘She Belong To The Streets’, a glitchy rap track inspired by all his current frustrations.

Who is Isaac Suh?

Isaac Suh was born in Seoul. His mother is Korean and his father is American, but he was raised by his father and Mexican-American stepmother. As a result, he has always been immersed in a fusion of different cultures.

Due to his dad being in the military, Isaac moved around the United States throughout his childhood, graduating from high school in Wisconsin. He has also lived in Germany and now resides in Japan. He brings elements from all of these cultures and places into his musical style.

Isaac has been songwriting and producing for over 10 years, with his biggest influences being Ms. Lauryn Hill, Drake, Kanye West and Frank Ocean.

Isaac is inspired by the events in his life. He bases his writing around self-expression, letting his listeners interpret his music as they wish.

He claims to have quite an unorganised writing process – sometimes writing lyrics, sometimes starting with recording instrumentals, but always stopping if he has writer’s block and letting his life write the story for him. Above all, Isaac wants to reach a broad audience with a range of tastes to reflect the cultural diversity of his upbringing.

‘She Belong To The Streets’

Isaac Suh intended for his newest single ‘She Belong To The Streets’ to be sonically more aggressive than his previous tracks. He recorded it completely in his bedroom, producing the track himself.

“I didn’t want to force a hit,” says Isaac. “I just started writing about things that bothered me, about this generation of artists, and the reality of some women’s intentions in my past. It ended up just forming itself from my frustrations.

“I don’t want my listeners to overcomplicate the message, just vibe to it, and keep their third eye open.

Reminiscent of Future, Offset and Migos, ‘She Belong To The Streets’ is a drip-hop glitch fest. Underpinned by clean beats and layered with moody organ and fluid, melodic bars, Isaac Suh’s flows feel slick and natural, and his glitchy sonic soundscape is uniquely his own.

‘She Belong To The Streets’ is out now on all streaming services.
