Upbeat, electronic summer sounds. A positive message and catchy sampled melodies. Lazer Owl brings the sun in with this new track.
A gentle fade in with a warm filter quickly subsides in favour of gooey, bouncing bass hits and swaying percussive sequences. A simple melody slowly comes forth from the distance of the mix and persists into the first vocal section. A thudding four from the kick quickly establishes a feeling of pace that is consistent even without its presence, known by the space it leaves in the instrumentation.
Though following a simple structural makeup, Everything’s Gonna Be Alright manages to inject colourful harmonic quality into each section. In the gentler, sparser pre-chorus and almost dissonant duet of voice and sampled horns layer to emphasise the down key melodic swing with the suspended tension of a moving section.
The main hook still insists on a top-down laid-back motif despite its (relative to the track) huge dynamic arc. All samples come out in full force. The pulsating rhythm of side-chained percussion drags the listener in and out of every beat. The meandering lead melody, and the following horn delivery perfectly serve the track and develop the by now well-defined atmosphere.
The track adds a pleasant instrumentation to its sound and successfully creates a more colourful form of a summer sun hit. The positivity in the song’s message is reflected in every aspect of the instrumentation and its’ delivery.
Looking to create immersive synthwave soundscapes, Italian songwriter Anthony Lazaro draws influence from contemporary disco pop and downtempo to form Lazer Owl.
