The 26 Year old Producer/Writer from South London has been creating a name for himself amongst independent labels for the past few years. Producing for the likes of ‘Wiley’ ,’Ghetts’, ‘Sniper’, ‘Kayla’ and ‘Dretonio’.

The dynamic producer continues to develop his own artistry through developing a mixture of unsigned artists and writing alongside some of London’s most talented songwriters. Currently the young producer is working out of his own recording facility ‘Starcity Studios’ in Surrey, writing on a range of independent projects, producing music for labels and engineering recording sessions.

We caught up with Jay at Starcity Studios and were immediately impressed with the good vibes seeping from this small writing studio. Jay gave us the quick tour and once we all got chatting, we just couldn’t stop. We got to know alot about Jay within quite a short space of time, but the main qualities that stood out were his diversity and unrelenting work ethic (not to mention he was also very easy to talk to). He’s been developing his career and honing his skills with the force of a runaway train. The man has worked with many different genres, producing and writing quality music from folk to R&B, from rap to indie rock.

Jay is looking to expand the Starcity Studio brand and make big moves within the music industry in 2013. He’ll be on Music Gateway in spring 2013, no doubt looking for a whole host of industry roles to get the best out of both his productions and his studio. We wish Jay Picasso all the best in his future endeavours.
