With classic indie-rock vocals & guitar tone reminiscent of the early 2000s, ‘Good Intentions‘ oozes early noughties indie rock – Out Now!
Written in his bedroom, ‘Good Intentions‘ is heavily inspired by The Strokes and The Libertines, particularly Julian Casablancas’ falsetto vocals.
Recorded in late October with producer Owain Fleetwood-Jenkins at a local studio, RUDI played all elements of the track – adding many layers of rhythm and lead guitar alongside playing drums and bass.
The track debuted on BBC Radio Wales, where presenter Adam Walton described the track as “One Man Strokes…very, very fine indeed“. ‘Good Intentions‘ is out on all streaming platforms now.
RUDI is the solo project of 19-year-old singer-songwriter Rudi Lloyd-Benson who comes from the smallest city in the UK: St Davids, Wales.
RUDI delivers catchy indie rock music, which echoes sounds straight from the early 2000s. His style is influenced by the very bands that birthed noughties indie rock – The Strokes, The Libertines and also takes inspiration from classic rock artists such as Joy Division.
Multi-instrumentalist Rudi Lloyd-Benson is behind every little bit that you hear – playing the drums, electric guitar, bass, synths and vocals all by himself. With each track carefully thought out from inception to completion, RUDI is truly one of a kind and a symbol that indie rock’s future is in very capable hands.
