Embracing acoustic R&B elements, ‘Something That Bloomed‘ is oozing feel-good, summery vibes. Filled with an irresistible guitar hook, peaceful harmonies, an unexpectedly dextrous guitar solo and jazzy indie-pop feel that you can’t help but bop along to. Ryan’s upcoming single will be released everywhere on the 10th November.

‘Something that Bloomed’: Maximising Emotion

A track that is intentionally stripped back to bring focus to the soulful vocal lead and harmonies, ‘Something That Bloomed’ was recorded between Ryan’s room and his friend’s home studio. Gently layered, Ryan and his team were purposefully unambitious with the instrumentation and vocal effects to ensure the song evokes that perfectly sweet, joyous sentiment.

Inspired after listening to a hefty amount of cheesy and blissful love songs – Ryan was immediately inspired to write something with a similar feel. A complete change in direction following his latest release ‘From Friends to Strangers‘. Opting to use a more positive, simple chord progression to maximise the emotion of the lyrics.

“I intended the track to be a continuation of “From Friends to Strangers,” not in the form of rekindling an old relationship, but narrating a heartbroken person beginning again…this song is not just about newfound love, it is about recovery, finding yourself again, and seeing your personal growth blossom in the warmth of something new.”
