‘Something’ tells the age-old tale of love, the feelings of love and the self-doubt that comes with it. All of this as well as hope that all of these feelings are being reciprocated. Making it worth all of the tiring struggles and thoughts that manifest in our head during these times.

A singer-songwriter from Virginia as well as a graduate from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Brenna Carroll has won a number of awards such as YoungArts’ Best Popular Voice and Cappies’ Critics Choice for Best Female Vocalist.

Taking inspiration from a countless number of places, Brenna’s sound has been described as ‘contemporary yet retro’. Brenna describes her songs as personal, writing them with the hope that they are able to tap into the feelings and the experiences of her audience.

Brenna has taken influences from, Carole King, Joan Baez and Margaret Glaspy. Brenna’s describes her use for music “as a way to have a meaningful conversation with total strangers. I hate small talk.”
