Music Gateway is proud to announce that the incredible Ce Ce Rogers will be a judge for Music Gateway’s vocal competition. The music competition itself has not been detailed however more news on all our competitions is due in the coming weeks.
Singer, songwriter, musician and producer Ce Ce Rogers is best known for his music collaboration with Marshall Jefferson for their hit ‘Someday’ with Atlantic Recordings Corp in 1987 which has been rated number 3 in MixMags’s 100 Greatest Singles of all time and will no doubt be rated similarly by every house DJ around the world.
‘Someday’ was the FIRST house song signed by a major record label which sold millions of copies worldwide, the moving chord sequence was later used on several tracks since it’s release. “Someday” is widely regarded as house music’s finest moments.
During Ce Ce Rogers music career he has been sampled numerous times, reaching the UK singles charts frequently since the late 80’s. Ce Ce Rogers has also written, produced and performed with many artists such as Sound of Blackness, Jocelyn Brown, Aretha Franklin, Duran Duran and the sound track to ‘Sister Act’ to name a few however most successfully “The best things in life are free” by Janet Jackson & Luther Vandross.
Ce Ce Rogers is currently on tour in Geneva Switzerland with Italian back Jestofunk. Apart from his successful music career as a singer he is founder and CEO of the acclaimed USB records also works for KJR Productions incorporation continuingly to lend his talents to the music production company.
