Music Gateway are proud to announce that they are working alongside Metropolis Studios on their first ever London Sync Sessions (LSS), taking place from the 19th-21st of October. The event will be hosted by Metropolis Studios and is building up to be the European sync event of the year, bringing together top industry figures, followed by showcases from the hottest up and coming talent in the UK and Europe.

Alongside us on the Music Gateway panel will be Director of Music at Platinum Rye Entertainment, Tom Stanford; Music Supervisor at Native Music Supervision & Production, Rachel Menzies; and Managing Director at Felt Music, Natalie Dickens.

Metropolis Studios is known as Europe’s best recording studio, catering for all types of recording from a solo music producer to a full scale rock band. Some of the most prolific artists of all time have recorded and mixed albums at Metropolis, including Queen, Michael Jackson, U2, Lady GaGa, Amy Winehouse,, The Stone Roses, Lauryn Hill, The Verve, Adele, and Rihanna. That’s quite a list!

Music Gateway will be among publishers, record labels, film and TV producers, sync consultants and supervisors who will provide stimulating debates on current issues facing the music industry today. Panelists will offer constructive, honest and effective advice. Whether you’re a manager, producer, artist or composer. LSS will bridge gaps between your music content and the people who use it.

Recently Music Gateway ran a competition for one of our Pro Level members to win a delegate pass and the winner was MAILMAN, a professional freelance mix engineer, music producer, arranger, composer, recording artist and multi-instrumentalist. He has worked with some world class musicians including legendary sessions drummer Clem Catini.  His debut album ‘No News Is Good News’ is now available on iTunes and online record stores.

‘Music Gateway has been a game changer for me. When it first started I pitched on project looking for a vocalist for a trance track and got the gig. That led to the label the artist was signed to taking an interest in my solo project Mailman and eventually signing my first album. This in turn has led to offers of work as top line writer, vocalist, producer and remixer as well as allowed me to confidently present my work to high end sync companies. Music Gateway is an excellent tool for breaking down barriers in the music industry and connecting the dots.’

‘I’m very excited to be attending the London Sync Sessions in October this year. The world of sync licensing is of course very lucrative but it is also an increasingly common way of breaking new artists. Events like this are pivotal for all concerned in an uncertain and rapidly changing era for the music industry, I am very happy to be a part of it.’

Metropolis are also currently in the process of A&Ring the submissions on their Music Gateway project for acoustic performers to play during the event.
