Wednesday July 26th 2018 saw another great event by the long running Sync Drinks crew. Sync Drinks is now run by London-based Music Supervisor and co-founder of Sync Drinks, Duncan Smith. Duncan is a Music Supervisor working at Sony Playstation games heading up all creative for in-house Sony Entertainment games, all trailer adverts and online social / web campaigns.

7pm saw 240 people meet at the Festival Pier, Southbank to onboard and start the festivities along London’s beautiful River Thames. The sync community is made up of various indie Record Labels, Music Publishers, Sync Licensing Managers and of course Music Supervisors (check out our Sync Jargon Buster).

Our very own Music Gateway Jack Skates, Head of Sync was in attendance alongside CEO & Founder Jon Skinner unfortunately, all the other members of team couldn’t make the event.

“It was great to catch up with so many of our members, friends and music supervisor clients we service with our members’ wonderful music”

Jack is quoted and continues:

“What a great night, a gloriously hot day, great music, great company, what more can you ask for?”

The annual event sees the london sync sessions community travel down the River Thames passing The Houses of Parliament and a number of super cool landmarks, passing under Tower Bridge, Lonbon Bridge and Blackfriars.

A few shouts outs to Jason Alexander (Pusher Music, LA), Iain Cooke (pictured above middle) President of the UK & European Guild of Music Supervisors, Maggie Rodford, Matt Kalada (Pictured Right – Guild advisory board member / Felt Music), Duncan Smith (Pictured Left) to name but a few.

If you haven’t been to a Sync Drinks event, trackdown their Facebook page and request to join, great social nights and networking in London, not to be missed.

Hey, if you are looking for sync representation then we (Music Gateway) are looking to expand our roster, check some details here. Thanks and see you all next year.
