Producing extraordinaire “Youth” teams with Music Gateway as judge for our unmissable ‘Best Live Act’ competition. Youth is undoubtedly one of the most influential figures in the music industry.

Visionary and versatile, Youth has used his talents on British rock royalty such as The Verve, Depeche Mode, U2, David Gilmore and Sir Paul McCartney to name a few, and branched out to international projects such as Italian electronic band The Bloody Beetroots, and Czech punks The Prostitues.

A clever business man, Youth has also founded two of the most important record labels in this industry “Dragonfly Records” and “Butterfly Records” both of which have expanded globally creating sister labels Kamaflage and Liquid Sound Design.

Early in his career “Youth” also known as Martin Glover begun as co-founder and bass player of prominent punk band Killing Joke which presently remain active. Killing Joke had a catalytic effect on the punk genre incorporating electronic music, synthopop and gothic rock styles into their music. Consequently their pioneering style is credited for inspiring bands like Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Amen, Ministry etc. His musicianship has obviously been a benefit to his producing talents to come.

In addition to this, “Youth” is also a notorious remixer and is responsible for forming techno and house music duo Blue Pearl with American female singer Durga McBroom, scoring a host of hit singles including their debut “Naked In The Rain”, which reached #4 in the UK Singles Chart and was also a #5 dance hit in the U.S.

Youth’s exciting career is a message to all potential producers to be innovative, open minded and unafraid to experiment. Like and share on Facebook & Twitter… Especially if you’re interested in our huge ‘Best Live Act’ competition!
