Julian started his career in 1993 at the well known underground label “Ouch Records” where he was responsible for producing 90% of the famous ten inch one sided coloured vinyls released. It was here at Ouch Records where Julian first met Andy Manston; who was famous for his Clock Work Orange nights and together they made house track Manky “Believe in Me” which got signed to The Ministry of Sound.

It was in 1996 when Julian got his first taste of commercial chart success, having been snapped up by the dance label “Cross Trax”  as well as releasing a long list of underground records which included the JDS classic Break Beat/House Anthem “Nine Ways” which signed to Pete Tongs label FFRR on London Records and Perpetual Motion and “Keep On Dancing” which signed to Positiva and went on to sell over eighty thousand copies to reach number 12 in the UK Charts.

It was also nominated for the best Break Beat tune of the year in 2004.

It was late 2004 that marked another change for Julian where he partnered with Simon Langford to form the commercial Funky House act “The Soul Seekerz” they managed to get a string of acclaimed remixes under their belt including; Basement Jaxx, Amy Winehouse, Robbie Williams, Soulja Boy, Estelle, Ne-Yo, Orbital, Moloko and The Pussy Cat Dolls.

After spending a year in the studio developing a new sound, Ruff Loaderz was born. Having recently been signed to Incentive Music where their remake if the massive Baby Dee tune “Let Me Be Your Fantasy” received great DJ support and put Ruff Loaderz out there for all to see.
