So it’s been a busy week for us here at Music Gateway, on Monday , we introduced you lucky people to JTV digital, who are a digital distribution company based in France who through 10years of experience in the digital music business aim to provide superior service and a state-of-the-art digital distribution solution to indie artists and labels, you can read more about them here

Again on Monday, we discussed the news that the copyright law has been changed from   50 to 70 years, our very own Jonathon Bond told us that “This means that since the day a track is published performers can enjoy 70 years’ worth of protection. This largely helps out the ageing musician especially for the all-time greatest song owners who will now likely benefit their whole life from song royalties.” So just think, if you create that hit song we all know you’re capable of on Music Gateway, then you’ve got 70 years of money coming in! What could be better? You can read more about the copyright change here

On Tuesday, we brought Trap into your life with an explanation of the new music Genre that is sweeping across the charts like a juggernaut! If you want to hear more about trap then you can read our easy peasy guide to Trap here

Next on Wednesday, we brought you another handy little tip for all you music industry moguls, this was when we brought ‘BookYou’ to your attention! BookYou is the first online booking application with integrated marketing tools for artists, DJ’s and ambitious agencies. If you want to know more about this exciting new tool, click here and be amazed!

Finally on Thursday, we introduced you to the next big thing in music, The LaFontaines, they are in their own words: A very unique hip-hop infused punk rock band hailing from Scotland. Sound interesting, well we know we love them and know you guys will too! You can read the rest of our exclusive interview with them here

Cheers!
