This week has seen the office busy with MIDEM follow ups, New Music Seminar preparation and some huge budgeted projects with turnarounds as short as 4 hours.

Sync License Projects

Sync Brief needs Music for Tech Product

We got this brief in off the back of our networking efforts at conferences over the last couple of months. With a 4-hour turnover to acquire music for a TV Advert for a Tech Product we were so impressed with the quality of pitches that came through. This is what the site was built for and it’s great to see that as well as catering for long term collaborations, PR projects and A&R signings we can also manage turnaround sync placements like this with an unbelievably high standard from members.

Music Gateway connects Artists at New Music Seminar

As we come to the end of the conference stint our CEO, Jon Skinner, heads over to New York City this weekend for the highly esteemed New Music Seminar conference.

We bought a ticket to give away to a Music Gateway member chosen for their impressive resumé and previous projects and pitches through the site. The Romantic Era are dedicated members of the site with a successful track record on MG opportunities and it’s great that we’re able to take them to NMS.

Notting Hill Writers secure Music Gateway Song Placements

We’re always really passionate about the successes through Music Gateway and this one we particularly wanted to share. Danielle Senior and Notting Hill Music (UK) Limited have worked with K Digital Media to secure a song placement for the song “LOL” for Hong Kong Artists, TWINS. The song (originally called “Dancing On A Cloud”) was chosen for its catchy nature and brilliant demo quality, which allowed it’s potential to shine through. Notting Hill Music are also discussing new song placement deals off the back of this!

A&R SUCCESS

This week our main focus was to Record Labels and Artist managers on using the site as an A&R Vehicle to find songs for their artists. With some huge song placement opportunities at the moment we’re seeing great Music Gateway members with more songs that we have projects and we’re encouraging other artist companies to get involved!

If you want to connect with these songwriters and hear their songs then all you have to do is create an A&R projectA&R Projects also have a special On Spec tool which allow you to quality control pitches and bring people into the Workspace without committing to signing their songs. Not only is setting up a project completely free but it is also not a commitment – if you don’t find the song then you don’t complete the project.
