We’ve launched some updates to the Sync Portal that you might want to know about.

Contacts Page

We’ve built a brand new contacts page where you can store all your contacts, like an address book. You can also select whether the information you’re putting in is for a Rights Holder, Writer or Client with a multi-select option if someone is more than one.

The addition of this page is just the start of integrating email incorporation to many of are other features across the site so we recommend you keep this up to date as a proper address book.

Rights Holders & Writers

When you’re entering your metadata you’ll see that we’ve now split the tabs for Rights Holders and Writers so you have four tabs to fill out;

Even if the Writer information is the same as the Rights Holder it’s important you fill out both tabs. Rights Holder information is really important for clearance but we’re going to need any Writer information for cue sheets. Again, make sure you’ve got all your contacts filled out and it’ll be really easy to find the contact in the drop down for each tab.

Editing Metadata

You’re now able to edit your metadata even if the Submission is live and in our catalogue. Go to the track you wish to edit, input your new information and click save.

Important: We had to change some of our mandatory fields to categories so that the complied with our clients needs. If you submitted tracks before March 19th 2017, check if your live tracks have any missing metadata and change accordingly.

Mandatory Fields

We’ve added a key when you’re filling out metadata and recording information so you know all the bits we need.

We recommend that you fill in as many of the fields as possible, even the non-mandatory stuff to give yourself the best chance of getting a sync placed.
