Creative Industry Hub’s networking conference Music TechTalks was held on the 26th October at the Google Campus in London. The event saw over 150 music professionals gather to build connections and expand their minds about the industry.
Speakers included professionals from across the industry to discuss the way things such as distribution, the digital market and YouTube have changed through contemporary technology and how it has an impact on the industry. Jon Skinner, CEO of Music Gateway spoke at the event discussing the changes Music Gateway has made to the way people connect and work together. The talk was well recieved and sparked an interesting and positive debate on the effect of the technology on the industry.
The conference continued on into the evening with a joint event from Soundcheque and Creative Industry Hub ‘Cue the Hub’. This saw Soundcheque choose 5 of their artists and bands to perform 3 tracks each, which they’d specifically chosen to try and get placed in Sync.
George Taylor, CEO of Creative Industry Hub had this to say following the event; “All in all, the speakers put on a fantastic day of talks, including Jon from Music Gateway. The audience were very receptive and had nothing but good words to say so I think it’s fair to say that the event was an enormous success! In an age where software-based services lead the way in the Music Industry, artists need to make their job as easy as possible and find new ways to capitalise. Music Gateway offers a unique platform that does just that. Sync and collaboration is a growing market, and Music Gateway makes the search, collaboration and transaction seamless which I know the audience appreciated due to all the questions after Jon’s talk!”
George continues, “Next up for Creative Industry Hub is a Fashion conference in March, but I am launching a new type of support/workshop conference for musicians and artists specifically called ‘Breakthrough in Music,’ which I’m hoping to hold in June or July next year! I’d like to thank Music Gateway so much for their involvement in Music TechTalks and with what we do here at Creative Industry Hub.”
We were able to offer 5 of our Pro Members to attend both events for free in order to expand their connections and industry knowledge. Here’s a little bit about some of the members and what they think of Music Gateway. You can check out their portfolio’s too.

“Music Gateway is an incredible tool. It enables a musician to reach out and connect with professionals across the globe, working on exciting and focused projects. Since joining I have been a part of some great projects from making an orchestral theme for a shark documentary to building a strong relationship as a guest vocalist on tracks mixed in Sweden, Denmark, Chicago and many more. The best thing about the site is that it is easy to use and navigate around. It lets you focus on the important thing…MUSIC. I think my only mistake was not getting onto this sooner. It’s now part of my day to day! Thank you Music Gateway.”
