We are looking for a Learning & Qualifications Executive to join our Learning & Qualifications team, which is responsible for the design and content of all ABRSM’s qualifications, and for their compliance with regulatory imperatives.
The role of the Learning & Qualifications Executive is to provide essential support in the creation and development of all syllabuses and related materials. This will encompass the moderation and preparation of new examination repertoire and specimen tests for publication, as well as the editing and proofreading of copy for examination publications and ancillary support materials. The Learning & Qualifications Executive will be responsible for ensuring compliance with published technical parameters and regulatory imperatives at all times in the course of their work.
To fulfil the requirements of this role, you will need a music degree (or equivalent) and experience of working with standard and music-notation software packages, in particular Sibelius. We would also expect a broad knowledge of the music education sector, of ABRSM’s syllabuses and requirements, and evidence of a level of professional credibility that will enable you to work effectively with senior music educators and practitioners.

Logan Media Entertainment (LME) is a multi-faceted entertainment company which specialises in Artist Management, and also encompasses Hi-Tea Records and LME Publishing, as well as a partnership with Baggpipe Studios & songwriters in Stockholm.
LME is looking for a dynamic full time PR Manager to join their team based in London. The role requires a well organised, enthusiastic publicist with two+ years of PR experience in the entertainment / media industry working and leading publicity campaigns across print & online including social media. A self-starter who is highly motivated, has a creative mind set, digitally-savvy and can act responsively and effectively on behalf of LME and its artists.
Bringing in an already existing roster of clients / working on 3rd party clients can be discussed.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create strategic and innovative PR plans, pitching to media outlets with emphasis on music, lifestyle and showbiz. Generate and write press materials for artists and LME including press releases, news announcements, and creative commissioning.
Solely responsible for managing music PR campaigns for single and album launches, tours and all areas of activities for artists (both established and developing artists of various genres).
Monitor media uptake and create press reports.
Create media tools, content, social media campaigns to support releases and work with external partners.
Managing various artist/projects expectations and requirements at any one time.
Direct liaison with media, artists and team.
Able to deal with basic crisis communications and capable of problem solving independently.
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
Assist with LME management tasks.
Must be willing to travel where necessary for work, including internationally.
2+ years working in media, public relations, with music experience preferred
Proven track record of generating quality coverage across print and online press
Excellent communication skills and story-telling ability
Understanding and use of existing and emerging social media platforms
You have your finger on the pulse and knowledge and understanding of the current media landscape
Strategic thinking and implementing most effective approach in all campaigns to gain results

The BA (Hons) Music Business BA (Hons) Events Management Course Leader will be a highly experienced, dynamic practitioner with a strong background in music education. While leading the College’s BA (Hons) Music Business and BA (Hons) Events Management courses, you will be required to work closely with all departments within the College, and will report directly to the Head of Education.
Course Leaders are responsible for the day-to-day operational management of their course(s), leading on curriculum delivery, curriculum design and teaching and learning. You will work closely with the College Principal and Head of Education to ensure that the BIMM Ethos and Education Strategy are implemented consistently and effectively. Course Leaders will have a strong background as practitioners and educators, and have the breadth of skills and experience required to ensure quality and excellence in all aspects of their course’s performance.
The post of BA (Hons) Music Business / BA (Hons) Events Management Course Leader is a combined strategic and operational role that provides curriculum leadership for all students and staff working on the course. You will have the primary responsibility for setting the standard of excellence and professionalism in teaching on the course you are responsible for and ensuring that all members of your team support students in all aspects of their personal and professional development.
As well as being an inspirational teacher yourself, you will be required to monitor the day-to-day experience of students in the classroom ensuring the highest quality of teaching and learning at all times. This includes: the selection, supervision and mentoring of sessional staff; design and delivery of the curriculum, working closely with the College Principal, Head of Education, and the Curriculum Team; generation of lesson plans; delivery of tutorials and maintenance of all student and staff records in line with BIMM policy. Substantial experience within a specialist field(s) of the contemporary music industry
Qualified to degree level
Experience of teaching and assessing in Higher Education

1) Teaching and Learning
a) Teaching and assessing modules/units on the College’s courses as agreed with the Head of Education.
b) Moderation and second marking of assessments as agreed with the Head of Education.
c) Membership of, and attendance at, examination and assessment boards as required by the Head of Education and the College’s validating bodies.
2) Course Leadership and Development
a) Providing specific academic leadership for the BA (Hons) Music Business and BA (Hons) Events Management courses and assisting the Head of Education in the development, delivery, review and enhancement of the BA (Hons) Music Business and BA (Hons) Events Management curriculum.
b) Advising the Head of Education on all issues pertaining to the BA (Hons) Music Business and BA (Hons) Events Management course.
c) Overseeing the production and review of all course materials for the BA (Hons) Music Business and BA (Hons) Events Management courses
d) Overseeing the examination and assessment programme for the BA (Hons) Music Business and BA (Hons) Events Management courses ensuring the timely production of the assessment and examination timetable and working closely with the Academic Administration team to ensure that all student assessment are double marked and/or moderated in accordance with the College’s and/or validating bodies requirements.
3) Quality and Standards in Learning and Teaching
a) Contributing to the College’s annual quality assurance cycle of module and course reviews, in particular the authorship of the BA (Hons) Music Business and BA (Hons) Events Management courses annual course reviews for the approval of the College Principal and BIMM Academic Development and Quality Assurance, in liaison with the Head of Education.
b) Ensuring the effective and timely implementation of the annual quality enhancement action plan for the BA (Hons) Music Business and BA (Hons) Events Management courses, liaising with the Head of Education and BIMM Academic Development and Quality Assurance team.
4) Tutor Leadership and Development
a) Advising the College Principal and Head of Education on all staffing issues pertaining to the BA (Hons) Music Business and BA (Hons) Events Management course and assisting the Head of Education and the Academic Administration team in the production of the teaching timetable.
b) Recommending new tutors and deputies for the BA (Hons) Music Business and BA (Hons) Events Management course for the approval of the College Principal and Head of Education.
c) Ensuring that all new tutors undergo a thorough College and course induction.
d) Supporting the Head of Education in developing and leading the annual tutor development programme.
5) Student Support
a) Leading on the academic elements of student induction events for the BA (Hons) Music Business and BA (Hons) Events Management courses, liaising closely with the Head of Student Services.
b) Acting as the first academic point of contact for BA (Hons) Music Business and BA (Hons) Events Management courses to students, and advising students on all course related matters.
c) Supporting the Head of Education and the Head of Student Services in the delivery of the College’s tutorial system.
6) External Events and Advocacy
a) Representing the College as required at external events as agreed by the College Principal and/or Head of Education.
b) Representing the BA (Hons) Music Business and BA (Hons) Events Management courses at BIMM Birmingham Open Days as required and agreed with the College Principal and/or Head of Education.
