Distiller Music is establishing their prestige as an independent label with an ear for the sounds of tomorrow, releasing records from some of the hottest up-and-comers on the circuit including Anteros, Cassia, Bloody Knees, The Ninth Wave, Danny Goffey and The Ramona Flowers, as well as pioneering Distiller TV, a leading platform in new music discovery.
With direction from Label Manager and Marketing Manager, the main objective of this role is to be a key ambassador for the label and its acts in all international territories.
The ideal candidate will be involved in the future direction and strategy of the company to aid development and growth of the company and all artists on the label.
DUTIES
Work under the direction of the Label and Marketing Managers to establish target countries for acts and how to approach the campaigns in each of the territories.
Establish and nurture international contacts, with the goal to help pick promotional teams, physical distributors and potential licensors in target countries.
Have complete oversight of industry events and showcasing festivals and events take place across the world, with a specific focus on target countries.
Collate and present the international marketing plans for all acts, across all territories in collaboration with Label Manager, Marketing Manager, international promotional teams and distribution partners.
Collect feedback on international campaigns and communicate accordingly to Distiller team. (Including airplay reports and develop strategies)
Keep detailed track of all international tour dates, sales and streaming numbers and communicating them accordingly.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Previous relevant experience in the music industry
Good, in-depth understanding of streaming services and international territories
Excellent communication skills
Ability to prioritise workload
Passion for music, particularly creating success for new artists
Ability to spot trends and adapt to them quickly

Position: CREATIVE AND DISTRIBUTIONS ASSISTANT

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Production and the Heads of Distribution, you will work across a broad range of both creative and admin tasks with a view to developing your skills as a Production Music producer and a distribution assistant.
You will be asked to listen to composer demos, manage the composer database and contribute to music and artwork discussions. Admin tasks will include contracting, invoicing and providing any data needed for the production of tracks and albums.
It is an integral part of the production process to learn how to feed back to clients, composers, designers etc. A key skill that we would like to develop is multitasking across projects, which are at different stages of completion.
You will also spend a minimum of two days a week working with the distribution team, focussing preparation of copyright data for the ingestion into the www.emipm.com search engine.
KEY RESPONSAILITIES
Attending production meetings weekly and contribute with creative ideas and support.
Support Head of Production / Senior Producer / Producers with composer contracts, processing invoices and other general talks involved in production.
Listening and assessing demos and submissions sent in to the production team.
Assisting producers with the creation of album briefs.
Assisting producer with titling tracks, track descriptions, liaising with proof reader.
Assisting producers with artwork briefs, sourcing designers and illustrators. Liaise with designers on amendments.
Assisting physical & digital distribution.
Working with creatives on marketing videos and promo show reels. Manufacture of marketing materials.
Supporting distribution & sales team with track digitisation and Hard Drive – duplication.
Releasing Notes/Lyrics Doc, must be updated each month and saved in the relevant folders.
JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS
A wide interest in music for film and television. Experience of/or a good understanding of production music.
Good knowledge and a keen interest in music across a broad range of genres including classical.

OVERVIEW
Chandos Records is one of the world’s premier classical music record companies, best known for its groundbreaking search for neglected musical gems and for its superb sound quality. We produce more than fifty albums a year and have an impressive back catalogue of more than 2,000 recordings.
We are looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager to oversee the distribution activities, optimise physical and digital turnovers, and act as a point of contact internationally between the label and various industry stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary purpose of this position is to drive physical and digital sales internationally by developing and managing first-class marketing plans, ensuring optimal editorial exposure to the label and its artists, and managing a multi-disciplinary team as well as relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders.
Liaise with distributors for special requests, promotions, back catalogue campaigns, contract negotiation, and other business matters
Present new releases and marketing plans at monthly sales meetings and annual conferences (travel may be required)
Supervise monthly promotions for the Chandos website
Explore new markets and new distributors
Ensure sales opportunities are fully exploited for artists’ concerts
Prepare, plan, and design a production schedule in full consultation with key distributors and Chandos colleagues to ensure all new release information is received on time.
MARKETING
Manage, allocate, and follow up on the annual marketing budget
Negotiate annual advertising plans with magazines, websites, and radios
Brief designers and occasionally design artwork (display, video)
Supervise social media and streaming activities
Set up special promotional events and operations, liaising with external partners
Drive and analyse traffic to the website, creating relevant and effective content, managing newsletters, and developing Ad-Words campaigns.
MEDIA
Maintain and develop a network of journalists, keeping them up to date with Chandos activities and securing editorial features where possible
Supervise and follow up on new release information and promo copies.
PROFILE:
ESSENTIAL
Good working knowledge of classical music and digital trends either by qualification or experience
Proven track record in a sales or marketing environment with experience in writing copy, booking advertising, and customer relationship management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
The ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels
The ability to work well under pressure with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
The ability to effectively manage a small multi-disciplinary team
Diplomacy in communicating difficult decisions and maintaining positive relationships
The ability to represent Chandos at a senior level.
PREFERRED
Degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Communication, Music or equivalent
Self-motivated, hardworking, and enthusiastic
Expertise in digital marketing tools, platforms, and strategies
Passion for music with an interest in classical repertoire
