SJM Concerts are at the forefront of the Live UK Music market. We promote the biggest UK acts and many world-renowned artistes in the concert and events industry.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

To work as part of our busy marketing team to maximise exposure of events promoted by SJM Concerts. To implement marketing campaigns to generate sales for new tours and events via various platforms including press, radio, TV, digital and print.

To be highly efficient, organised and enthusiastic, with an ability to thrive under pressure in a stressful environment – and a passion for the music industry is a must have.

To market all events promoted by SJM Concerts in conjunction with the promoters and directors in a cost effective, efficient manner to the excellent first class standards upon which SJM Concerts has built its reputation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working closely with members of the press, marketing and digital team you will create and implement marketing campaigns for SJM tours and events.
  • Liaising with our external agencies to set up radio campaigns & book print, digital and outdoor advertising.
  • Booking TV advertising and coordinating the creation of TV commercials and online videos to advertise tours and events.
  • Working with the digital team to implement online marketing activity including social media announcements, sponsored posts & online ads including PPC, video pre-roll & display.
  • Liaising with venues, tickets agents, & agents to ensure they have all essential materials for new event / tour announcements and maintaining a correspondence throughout a campaign.
  • Working alongside our ticketing department to facilitate the setup of artist, venue and external pre-sales as required.
  • Coordinating the creation of tour artwork and the process of getting designs approved with promoters, agents and management for both print and online.
  • Management of artwork and compilation pages for print press.
  • To monitor and adhere to SJM tour and event marketing budgets as agreed with the respective SJM promoter.
  • Offering creative ideas and suggestions for tour and event announcements and general marketing pushes as required.
  • To work out of hours as required, including on site at festivals and outdoor shows.
  • To fulfil any other duties as requested by the directors or the Head of Press & Marketing.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • A suitable qualification and/or education to degree level is desired, and a minimum of 2 years marketing experience is required preferably in a music, creative arts, cultural or lifestyle position.
  • A strong knowledge & understanding of the music industry is preferable.
  • Experience and knowledge of relevant marketing channels (including social media, print, street-marketing, digital, radio and TV) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working under pressure to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at any one time and to work to deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills and an ability to write concisely.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm for the role and a willingness to assist and work as part of a strong team.

We are looking for an experienced Head of Marketing, Amazon Music for our JP digital music business.

As the Head of Marketing, Amazon Music, you will have responsibility supporting the digital music category in areas such as mass & direct marketing, traffic generation, web & device merchandising, creative/visual design, acquisition, retention, partner marketing, and brand strategy.

DAY-TO-DAY THE HEAD OF MARKETING, AMAZON MUSIC JP WILL…

  • Be responsible for driving traffic to the digital music websites and device apps through a mix of untargeted and targeted marketing channels
  • Deliver new customer acquisition strategies along with churn management plans
  • Manage the look and feel of the different digital music storefronts, including daily operation and strategic planning
  • Closely monitor customer feedback/needs through surveys and research
  • Liaise closely with the product development teams to drive innovation aimed at improving customer experience, and strengthening label relationships
  • Provide input to defining the customer experience and customer satisfaction and represent that to senior executives as well as the digital music team
  • Overcome and solve complex obstacles that impact the digital music marketing & merchandising and product discovery, effectively escalate issues across all levels in the company
  • Drive sustainable process improvements across the functions which create year-over-year efficiency in the category
  • Identify new approaches for improving marketing & merchandising and category awareness to better manage the customer experience and the team over the long run
  • Focus on talent management of the Marketing team which includes effectively hiring and developing the best talent, and creating an environment which motivates people to thrive in their expertise and deliver aggressive results
  • Develop and execute customer acquisition and churn management strategies for a subscription music service.
  • Develop a clear customer segmentation and brand messaging strategy for Amazon Music.
  • Drive customer engagement through targeted marketing and merchandising to convert existing Prime subscribers into active Prime Music customers, with increased listening frequency.
  • Create measurable, scalable and innovative marketing campaigns – both offline and online – to meet goals around new customer acquisition.
  • Develop an organizational structure that aligns the talent to the strategic objectives for the group. This leader will be responsible for continuing to build an extremely high caliber team.
  • Establish strong industry relationships with key executives at the record labels, distribution companies and artist management.

Reporting directly into Director, Amazon Music, and this role will be located in Tokyo, Japan.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

University degree minimum; MBA or further engineering, marketing or analytical education will be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems. In particular, he or she has a history of identifying customer needs and inventing new ways to meet those needs.

This leader will be a big thinker who is perpetually focused on the strategy for the coming years yet is also tactical.

Blue Raincoat Music is currently recruiting for an extremely organised and creatively-minded Assistant Manager, who will be a key part of our team looking after a roster of internationally successful DJs, Electronic Music and Indie Artists.

You will support the managers and artists in all areas of their work and careers.

You will be based at the London offices and normally work weekday office hours, but your role will involve unsociable hours and weekend work as the artists are touring globally. There is the potential for some business travel.

This is a demanding and fulfilling role which will not suit an entry level applicant. Relevant experience will be considered a strong part of your application.

DUTIES

  • Travel and tour budgeting
  • Artist requests and general day to day tasks
  • Diary management
  • Assisting with planning and co-ordination of PR and promotional activities

  • Assisting in album and release campaign planning
  • Managing and solving last minute problems
  • Booking artist managers travel and accommodation

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Previous music, other relevant industry, or PA/EA experience required
  • Solid Apple Mac or PC proficiency. Evernote, Things and any live booking systems experience is desirable but not essential 
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent time management
  • Efficient and clear communication skills
  • Spanish and Italian language skills are desirable but not a requirement.
