We are currently looking for a full time Digital Marketing & Trends Manager to join our team!

Reporting to the Director of Client Marketing & Playlist Promotion and based in New York City, NY the Digital Marketing & Trends Manager will be the main driver of artist/release campaigns while making sure we are benchmarking strategies against the most innovative in the interactive world.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Keep the marketing team informed of the latest trends dominating the market
  • Perform in-depth artist/project diagnostics identifying like-artists/projects, as well as project strengths and weaknesses
  • Use expertise and knowledge to identify marketing trends and trends in data to turn them into actionable insights

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or business-related field preferred. 
  • Must have knowledge and a deep passion for electronic, hip-hop or Latin/urban music.
  • Must have 3+ years of experience working in a marketing role at a record label, distributor, management company, or publisher, or agency.
  • Must have at least a foundational understanding of the intricacies of streaming music retailers and the marketing trends and campaigns currently happening.
  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience giving presentations.   
  • Must have proficiency using Google’s Suite of productivity applications.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to successfully partner with multiple stakeholders.

Position: ASSISTANT TOUR ACCOUNTANT

David Weise & Associates is hiring for an Assistant Tour Accountant based in Encino, Los Angeles.

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Request tour itineraries and show contracts and forward those items to appropriate Insurance Brokers, Foreign Accountants and Account Managers.
  • File all tour documents in g-drive including itineraries, show contracts, budgets, etc.
  • Complete state tax waiver applications
  • Complete and forward foreign tax waiver applications to our Foreign Accountants and ensure they have all required paperwork to file the tax waivers.
  • Prepare commission invoices for our Foreign Accountants to help in mitigating the foreign withholding taxes.
  • Prepare application Form 8802 requesting Form 6166 and a letter of US residency certificate.
  • Ensure insurance certificates are provided by our insurance brokers to the various vendors/promoters.
  • Review vendor contract changes requested by Insurance and Legal Professionals and ensure changes are completed with vendors.
  • Record show income in Datafaction system.
  • Book road float report
  • Record merchandise income
  • Scan all income and road reports into imaging.
  • Code American Express statements in accordance with department procedures.
  • Code checks received from Promoters and Agents in accordance with department procedures.
  • Code splits on non-appearance insurance invoices.
  • Reconcile agent reports and request deposit balances.
  • Track monies from Promoters and reconcile promoters Accounts
  • Communicate with Promoters regarding missing checks and tax certificates
  • Reconcile road float accounts and ensure all cash is accounted for.
  • Track tax certificates.
  • Correspond via e-mail or telephone with tax offices regarding missing tax certificates.
  • Prepare budget vs. actual and research discrepancies.
  • Prepare merchandise reconciliations.
  • Prepare meeting packages and ensure the accuracy of the budget vs. actual vs. the profit and loss and general ledgers.
  • Request commission and distribution payouts
  • Provide vendor invoices and information to our foreign accounts for the Foreign Entertainers Unit (FEU) and for the value added tax (VAT) returns.
  • Prepare and invoice for front end tour support from record label.
  • Prepare label bill backs for tours on support and promotional events.
  • Provide all general ledgers, profit and loss and related back-up to our Canadian Accountant in order for him to file the Canadian tax returns.
  • Maintain tour status reports, keeping them updated and current and dispersed to the partners on a weekly basis.
  • Communicate with Managers, Tour Managers and Agents at Senior Tour Accountants discretion.
