Born in Brescia, Italy on 19 November 1991, the rapper / producer Mattia Balardi developed his love for hip-hop as a teenager, drawing inspiration in particular from Eminem. It’s called "Mr.Rain" because he writes songs on rainy days. At the age of 18 he began to create his tracks, releasing his first mixtape, Time 2 Eat. He learned to play the piano with tutorials on YouTube, he began making video completely on his own and was named the "one man band" of Italian rap. He released "Memories", his debut album, in 2016, the last single of the album, "Carillon",was the first gold record certified for an independent in Italy, earning a wider fan base and helping him make many concerts and sign an agreement with Warner Music / Atlantic. In 2018, "Butterfly effect" comes out, his second album, completely self-produced, a successful album that earns many certifications, gold album, Ipernova (double platinum), Carillon (double platinum), i grandi non piangono mai (platinum). In 2020 he released the single “Fiori di Chernobyl", already platinum record certified.
