The University of Miami Frost School of Music is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in Music Business and Entertainment Industries, beginning in the Fall 2019 Term.
The successful candidate will have a strong record of accomplishment and demonstrated expertise in the marketing and promotion of music and musical artists, at a national level, with a minimum of seven years of professional experience. The successful candidate will also have experience as an educator in the field of music business at the collegiate level. The salary is competitive.
The appointee will be responsible for serving as the Assistant Director of the Music Business and Entertainment Industries Program, including assisting in student recruiting and advising, program marketing, curriculum management, and supervising student projects.
The appointee will also teach four 3-credit undergraduate and graduate courses per semester in areas relevant to candidate’s experience and departmental needs in the Music Business and Entertainment Industries Program.
The appointee is not required, but is encouraged, to remain actively involved in the music business field. The appointment is a non-tenure-track, renewable nine-month appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of Professional Practice, Music Business and Entertainment Industries.
