We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Audio & Sound Engineer with professional studio recording experience including sound mixing who is highly proficient in Pro Tools.

As we continue to invest and grow the IMES organisation, an opportunity for an Audio & Sound Engineer has been created to digitise, restore and edit clients’ assets from a vast array of media to a format that can then be added to a digital archive or moved to a Media Asset Management platform.

AS THE AUDIO & SOUND ENGINEER YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:

• Logging and tracking of master tapes into various databases and systems
• Use of audio software to perform transfers and conversions to the highest standard. These include but are not limited to: Digidesign Pro Tools, Apple Logic, Steinberg Cubase, Steinberg Wavelab, Merging Pyramix
• Operation and maintenance of legacy recording systems. These include but are not limited to: ¼”, ½” stereo analogue tape machines, 2” 24-Track multitrack analogue tape machines, ½” digital multitrack tape machines, ADAT & DA-88 digital multitrack recorders and radar hard disk recorders
• Create hard drive reports of A&R/producer deliveries
• Backup client data to LTO
• Designing and developing workflows

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the Audio & Sound Engineer you will possess the following attributes:

• Professional audio studio recording experience including sound mixing
• Highly proficient in Pro Tools
• Knowledge and experience of all media formats and recording technology and techniques from 1950s to modern day
• Highly computer literate in both PC & MAC platforms
• Up to date knowledge of active record producers and studios
• Ability to prioritise workload and perform well under pressure
• Good ear and understanding of music production
