I am fairly new to the songwriting business, I only started about three months ago ,although I have always enjoyed writing-poems and stories. I am in fact writing a novel at present which I hope to get published when it is finished.
Getting back to the songwriting. I have teamed up with a good friend of mine.He is a very talented musician and he has been writing tunes for my lyrics.I have been finding songwriting a very different craft as opposed to writing poems etc. I am learning as I go along.It is a very different skill set. I try to make the words melodic so it can fit the tune more easily.
I am hoping I can get some work published and get my songs out into the big wide world. I want to express myself musically ,as I feel I have a lot to say and contribute to society. I already do this in my art. I am a fine art graduate.This will be another outlet for my creativity.
