Paleosonik

Bio

Paleosonik was born out of a creative collaboration between George, guitarist and songwriter residing in London and LA based producer Chris back in 2013. In the following months the musicians co-wrote and produced a number of highly original experimental compositions, unusual and diverse in structure yet uniquely melodic and enthralling: a showcase among other things of George's endless invention on the guitar and Chris' production, lyrical and arrangement skills.
The results of the colleboration were released as an EP entitled 'The Way Through' to some excellent reviews on music blogs and considerable amount of radio play, still continuing till today.
Soon after George completed a three-piece line up of guitar bass and drums, frequently performing on the live club and university circuits and appearing at summer festivals in the UK over the past three years.
In August 2016 the band went into a recording studio to work on the new five song EP, entitled 'Children Of The Sun'. The resulting effort reflects a shift to a more organic sound featuring brilliant drumming and a delicate female backing vocal that beautifully supplements George's voice. This is a selection of effortlessly original, utterly unique but invariably beautiful songs, as intricate and sophisticated as they are catchy and accessible. A record that warrants a close and contemplative listen and is sure to reward the listener with a multitude of musical gems and discoveries. Among them the inverted structural dynamics of 'Distant Thunder', the shuffle like backbeat of 'Under The Spell', the bewitching and unconventional slide guitar dominating the second half of 'A Letter Never Sent' and the ending of 'Cast Away The Dark'.
The songs released on the EP, much like the material from the band's previous release have been enjoying daily airplay on a number of radio stations, way past the the expected longevity of an independent release. It's largely due to the appeal of the band's music that the following on twitter has grown to over 5000 people. That will no doubt be boosted further by the release of a number of new records the band has been working on since January 2018
