Greetings! I write with lots of people and I've had quite a few tracks published and released. (Sten Stenapo is my stage name - John Fitzsimons is me) I also play in a few bands and write for others as well as myself. I like to take a different twist on things. Been on X factor and so got some national exposure (150000 hits on my X factor profile in the Uk - God knows how many world wide). I now have contacts all over the world. I enjoy life and I'm philosophical about stuff but also funny - as you'll see if you read any of my bloggs. Probably also comes through in my songs. I play regular gigs and festivals etc so I'm out on the road as well as in the studio. Good , well that's done. Up for interesting projects and collaborations and I also produce for other people - essential! Lets make music but not just as we know it.
Timeline: 1972 Played lead guitar with The Mighty Plod, a Glam rock band from London., working with Martin Newell from The Cleaners from Venus. One album released
1979: Lead singer/ writer in The Papers. Reggae rock band based in London. Worked with Producers Gus Dudgeon (Elton John) and Tony Tavener (5 Star). Three albums released.
1989. Joined Kan Kan as lead guitarist. Drummer was Simon Crowe from the Boomtown Rats. one album released
1995: Reformed the Papers.
1998; formed elctro pop band Alien? So What. One album released.
2006. Released retrospective live album with The Papers.
2008: Formed The O'Marleys, trad Irish folk band. Two albums released
2016; Released new album by The Papers
2019: Formed Solo Noi, with Bob Smith, who was signed to CBS Italy - a jazz pop band as lead singer and co-writer. One album release. One planned for 2020
2020: New EP to be released by The Papers.
