Bio

Joey Collins is a singer-songwriter and producer based in Nottingham, England. His sound is introspective and emotional, with a penchant for minimalistic arrangements and astonishing lyrics with a personal twist. His catalog of music is as prolific as it is diverse.

Collins has received great support from BBC Introducing. In 2020, he placed 20th in the top 25 “most played” chart out of the entire East Midlands music scene. Furthermore, a few of his singles have been chosen by Dean Jackson to be the ‘Track of the week’ and performed at Metronome in session, whilst Tom Robinson aired ‘Looked Upon A Shore’ on ‘BBC Radio 6 Music's Introducing Mixtape’ (10/02/2020). With an undeniable dedication to his craft that has enabled him to gain a substantial amount of live experience from supporting the likes of Starsailor frontman James Walsh, to performing overseas alongside artists such as Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai and Joe Keogh of Amber Run back in Nottingham, UK.

2021 saw the birth of ‘Feed Me Your Love’, a single mixed by Guy Elderfield (The Libertines, Jimmy Eat World). It was picked up by Spotify and landed on ‘All New Rock’ and ‘Alt Rocked’ playlists alongside the likes of the Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon and Hayley Williams. In August, Collins was joined by his band The Bushido Code headlining his hometown historic local venue The Bodega. The remainder of the year is filled with more live shows across the UK, followed by a much anticipated debut album for 2022.
