Bio


Michael 'Mickey' Wynne was taught guitar by his father at the age of six. He has been writing words and music since the age of nine.
Among those Mickey worked with have been Terence Trent Darby, Patricia Morrison (Sisters of Mercy) and Andreas Broon, Steve Hyams (Mott the Hoople), writing, recording and playing live with Tim Rose ( inc. London’s Shepherds Bush Empire, Queen Elizabeth Hall), The Who’s John Entwistle (Abbey Road studios) -both sadly passed away in 2002- and recording with Grammy winning producers Ron Magness (Flashdance, Mick Jagger) Pierre Tubbs (Huey Lewis and the News) and Nashville’s Rich Adler (Neil Young, Alison Krauss)

In 2010 Michael released a critically acclaimed solo EP under the name Mickey Wynne called “Running on Empty” and played selective dates with his band to promote the record.

In 2014 Mickey played three summer festivals and placed over 60 of his compositions to various library companies .

In 2015 Mickey played the Brighton Fringe Festival twice, other one-off shows and placed a further 90 of his compositions and cowrites to various library companies, making a total of 150 copyrights placed.

In 2016 Mickey is looking forward to the release of his first solo artist album.
