Fresh New Tracks // All Genres // (February 2019)

At Music Gateway we constantly put music forward to specific TV, Film, Ads and Games placement briefs. Some of our clients, however, don't send briefs out. They work in a slightly different way and we send them regular playlists of fresh new music. This is why we're constantly on the search for exciting new songs across all genres to send over to them. We work directly with a host of Music Supervisors across EUROPE, USA, Canada and Australia including shows broadcast and or produced by NBC Universal, CBS Television, Disney ABC, Netflix, Sony Pictures and Amazon TV. The licensing includes background cues and promo slots for advertising. As a Sync Licensing Agent we are widening our catalogue need to meet the increased demand for multiple genres. We work on a commission basis where we take 25% of each successful sync fee (you keep all backend royalty and rights payments). To see the full details check the Music Sync Licensing page in the Opportunities section at the top of this page or visit www.musicgateway.com/music-sync-licensing. The only key criteria is - it has to be fresh! If you have released anything  original in the last few months - we want to hear it! How to Submit - You can upload your song(s) using the submission button on the right and please don't forget to add your contact details in case we get interest in any of your submissions from a client. - Message - When sending over your music, it's always good to add some more information about yourself and/or the release. So drop us a short message with your submission! - Easy Clear - Please make sure that the songs you send us are easy to license and you either own the rights to them or have the right to represent the songs on behalf of the rights holder. Once we have received the songs, we'll check them out and create a final playlist from a selection of the tracks we've received on here and send it over to our clients. We will be creating a new project each month to find the best fresh tracks. We also need this information below (as a bare minimum) about any tracks that you pitch, so make sure your METADATA is updated. - Song Title - Artist - Writer Split - Master Owner - Publishing Owner Tracks without this above information/which do not follow the submission format will not be considered. Send Us Your Video Selfies!

Send Us Your Video Selfies!

Video Selfie - I Am Promo Music Gateway are producing a series of promotional content to help raise the profile of our users and amplify their music and skills to the extended Music Gateway family and new users. Our first series of content will be the ‘I Am a…’ series where we ask our creative family to simply record a short video clip using their smartphone/tablet camera and simply say ‘I Am A... [INSERT PROFESSIONALISM HERE] ’ for example; ‘I am a music producer’, 'I am a Videographer', 'I am a song writer' etc.. . Please keep your chosen [skill] short i.e. ‘videographer’ rather than ‘producer of music video and content’. If you follow the below steps you should be able to produce the perfect VELFIE for this promo. 1. Use a smartphone or tablet Shoot with your camera horizontal so that your screen looks like a widescreen TV. Try to hold it steady. The closer you are to the phone, the less shaky the video will appear, and your audio will be better too. 2 . You’ll need a good background Shoot outside facing the sun so that the light brightens up your shot and isn’t behind you. If you shoot inside, use a room that’s well-lit with lots of natural sunlight or lighting. Make sure the background isn’t cluttered. 3. Avoid noise Choose a quiet room and shut down all programs and devices that make sounds. Don’t forget about pets or children that could cause an interruption. Speak directly into the microphone if possible and stand as close to it as possible to get the best audio. 4. Frame up the shot Hold the camera at eye level. Looking down at the camera will make your chin and neck look disproportionate to your face. Frame yourself in the middle of the screen so that there is not too much space above your head (headroom). Make sure you are looking directly at the camera, not at some other part of the phone screen. Don’t forget to smile and let your personality shine! 5. Dress for the camera The best clothing option for on-camera is a solid-colour long-sleeve shirt, sweater or jacket. Choose a primary colour instead of patterns or prints. Jewel tones and pastels are better than white for the camera. 6. Recording Once you’re ready to go remember that after pressing the record button it is best to wait for at least 2 seconds before you start to talk.  This will ensure we capture the entire clip, please leave 2 seconds at the end too. And make sure your video is LANDSCAPE :) 7. Send it to us! You’ve recorded your promo (yay!) make sure you’re happy with it; upload it to your files area then submit it to this project via the submit files button!
