Title Track Needed for UK Documentary Series
We're working with a UK music supervisor currently looking for the opening title for a UK TV series focused around women in civil services/the military/emergency personnel. We're looking for a title track that is as sharp lyrically as the title tracks on Orange Is the New Black (‘You’ve Got Time’ by Regina Spector) and Sopranos (‘Woke Up This Morning’ by Alabama 3) which you can hear in the reference files. These are not stylistic references, purely examples of how lyrics match the series subject matter so well. The track should be mid to up tempo and needs to have youth energy (think 20/30 years old audience). With regards to genre, we're open for submissions across genres. Forthcoming releases would be great so the track is new and fresh when the series airs in October 2017, but older tracks are fine if they work. PLEASE NOTE: This license would be one under the Blanket License, which means that our client would deal directly wit your collection society rather than provide an upfront licensing fee. The Blanket License - In the UK, TV broadcasters such as BBC, ITV and Sky, have an agreement with PPL and PRS which allows them to pay an annual fee and in return use any music (with some exceptions) on their TV Channel. You will however keep all rights and royalties.
