About Darren Williams
I was born on an Air Force base in Tachikawa, Japan, and spent almost 14 years growing up on Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany. My mom is from Riverside, California, where I spent several summers with my cousins, and my dad is from Jackson, Mississippi, where I visited and spent time with family. These places and experiences have deeply shaped who I am.
Because of my multiple sclerosis, I’ve learned to embrace technology to help me navigate daily life and continue my creative work. From speech-to-text tools to adaptive devices, technology is an essential part of my journey, allowing me to pursue my passion for music and connect with others.
For the past 25 years, I’ve called the Steel City, Pittsburgh, PA, my home. Pittsburgh is known for its gritty roots in the steel industry, but over time it has transformed, embracing technology and healthcare to become a thriving, innovative region. That spirit of resilience and evolution has influenced my music direction!
