Julio Richardson, known professionally as "DA.KAI," A.K.A DON KINO is a multifaceted artist born in Miami, Florida, and raised in St. Martin by his beloved mother, who has been the main drive for his goals. From a very young age, Julio was deeply influenced by the strong musical heritage running through his veins. His journey into the world of music began early, and he entered the professional arena at the age of twelve. DA.KAI quickly gained a reputation for his exceptional improvisation skills, making frequent appearances on various radio shows and performing at Miami's biggest annual festival, Calle Ocho. His talent and versatility have made him a global sensation, excelling in singing, hosting, producing, and writing music for numerous big-name artists across a wide range of genres, including Hip-Hop, Dancehall, Reggae, Reggaeton, Electronic Music, and Latin. A significant milestone in DA.KAI's career was his participation in "The X Factor Spain." His performance of an unpublished song titled "Cupid" astonished the judges—Xavi Martinez, Laura Pausini, Risto Mejide, and Fernando Montesinos—who unanimously voted him through to the next round. Today, DA.KAI is a multi-platinum award-winning songwriter, renowned for writing the certified platinum hit "El Amor Es Una Moda" by Don Omar, Juan Magan, and Alcover. Formerly known as Don Kino, he evolved into DA.KAI following a profound spiritual awakening. His mission now is to help awaken humanity and heal the world through his music.
