Alexandro Pete Urias

Alex Urias joined Music Gateway on 19 Jul 2025. Alex has been involved with music as far back as he can remember. When Alex was three yrs old, his oldest brother drew guitar cutouts from cardboard and the 2 bros and two sisters would be jamming out with the Beatles blaring out of the record player back in the day which probably drove their mom nuts or crazy... Alex inherited the knack and ability for music from his Dad...as a matter of fact, Alex's first gig was with his Dad when he was 12...their drummer had gone on vacation so Alex got promoted to a live gig..."it sure beat the heck out of banging the skins at the house" according to Alex and was hooked on being a musician from that night forward. Alex began playing in the Tejano music genre at 14 with Gilbert "El Coyote" De Anda. Another well known artist and friend Alex enjoyed playing music and singing with was Robert "El Charro Negro" Butler whom was well known as a featured artist with "La Tortilla Factory"... Alex is excited about this new release "Ay Corazon " and is very hopeful it is well received by all who listen... "Ay Corazon" is a story of couple who married too young and life circumstances or "the cards of Life" dealt to them, began to crumble the joy of bliss they had previously encountered...it has a pleasing melody with a strong hook of a chorus...so have a listen, you just might like it!!
