About Kenzie Leon
Kenzie Leon is a singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose music embodies hope, affirmation, and joy. Rooted in Miami, FL, his artistry draws deep inspiration from gospel music and the rich traditions of the Baptist Church. Kenzie’s journey began with a natural gift for playing the piano and acoustic guitar by ear, talents he uses to accompany his heartfelt songs.
Blending the soulful essence of gospel with the intimacy of acoustic instrumentation, Kenzie has coined his genre as *Inspirational New Thought Music*. His sound feels like a warm campfire, seasoned with the love and comfort of grandma’s cooking—a unique blend he calls "Gospel Soul."
Kenzie’s influences span a diverse range of iconic artists, including Daryl Coley, the Clark Sisters, Kim Burrell, Jonathan McReynolds, Emily King, Cleo Sol, and Yebba. Learning to play the guitar was transformative for his artistry: "The guitar is so close to the heart when you play it. You literally have to hug the instrument to create music."
Deeply connected to his spiritual home at Unity on the Bay, part of the Unity Church Worldwide, Kenzie sees music as both a journey of self-discovery and a gift to share with the world. His upcoming EP promises to showcase his signature sound while spreading his uplifting message far and wide.
