Make Believe Love is the genre-bending brainchild of amateur auteur Lucas Berman. Steeped in equal parts neo-noir and soap star sleaze, Berman’s art reflects his upbringing as a native Angelino. Anchored by a crew of Los Angeles hitmakers (including members of Lo Moon, HOLYCHILD, and talker), the songs juxtapose Berman's off-kilter grit against luscious layers of analog synths, latticework guitars, and Blue-Eyed Soul harmonies. The vibe is singular - saccharine yet subversive, like the love child of Mötley Crüe and The Archies!
