Hailing from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Michael’s musical journey began at a young age where he performed extensively as lead guitarist/vocalist across the West Coast in several bands which culminated in a development deal with Mercury Polygram records. His playing and vocal style seamlessly weaves country, soul, blues and americana creating a soundscape all his own. Additionally, his 25+ years’ professional career as an air talent/DJ is steeped in the rich tradition of country music, instilling in him a deep love for the genre. They continue to perform across Australia at venues and festivals including Dusty Boots Festival, Macksville Music Muster & Tamworth Country Music Festival. Their shows are a mix of crowd favourites and fresh originals with a strong “country with a cause” storytelling message that has resonated loudly with Australia radio and their growing supporter base. Their songs touch on themes including drought, homelessness, and heartache and the powerful lyrics and melodies have become a source of hope and inspiration for many. The authenticity of their songwriting has earned them the respect of both fans and critics alike, solidifying their place as an emerging songwriting duo in the Australian country music scene.
