One of the most anticipated musicians to hit the hip-hop music world is "Yung Tyran," a rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and director. He first came to prominence as an artist in 2015, when "Brenda Fassie," one of his singles, topped the Yfm charts. Between 2016-2018, he put out 3 mixtapes that grew his following on social media and eventually caught the attention of the legendary hip hop artist K.O (formerly of Teargas) who showed interest in wanting to sign him.In 2019 he releases his debut EP Late Bloomer, which debuted at number 4 on iTunes charts in South Africa. Tyran continued his run by dropping a series of singles and videos every Sunday titled “Sincere Sundays” which made him an internet sensation. In August 2020, Tyran released his sophomore EP titled Zodiac. Dubbed “The internet’s best-kept secret” Zodiac is a well put together 7-tracker EP. In a recent interview, Tyran described the title, ‘Zodiac’ stating that the stars and planets are believed to influence human behaviour and as far as the emotional solar system goes Yung Tyran described himself as the centre triggering all sorts of emotions with his music. The project is short and sweet with a distinct sound and features from Flvme, KLY and Lordnelle from Cape Town. On the EP Yung Tyran is able to blend different sounds ranging from hip hop to RnB.
