Lee Michael Walton’s ‘Music of the Wave’ is a brand new release from the composer. With Lee utilising a soaring saxophone and tranquil piano the piece is set up to be the beginning to a new era for the composer.

Behind the ‘Music of the Wave’: A Journey Of Spirituality

‘Music of the Wave’ is the introduction to Lee’s forthcoming album. It sets the bar for Lee’s new expression of spirituality by using its melodies to cast the listener on a journey of self-discovery and self-expression. A theme that is set to continue in future releases from the composer.

‘Music of the Wave’ comes into our lives following a serious change in Lee’s life in which he saw a transformation in himself. This is seen in the composition as a music piece that is completely different from what the artist has composed prior to his life-changing experience.

The old has passed away and has been revitalised in a new resurgence of creativity. ‘Music of the Wave’ sets the bar for this in what is going to be a completely different album for Lee as he goes on an adventure of rediscovering music.

Who is Lee Michael Walton?

Originally from Wales and having graduated with a degree psychotherapy in 2009. Lee grew up listening to the traditional choral singing in his first language, Welsh. As well as having fallen in love with the spine-tingling organ playing at his local chapel in South Wales. Lee took up organ playing and began performing concerts at cathedrals around the UK.

During the time of recording his new album, Lee is reflecting on his personal journey after going through groundbreaking surgery. This was to reach a rare form of cancer discovered in the roof of his mouth. The extensive surgery to remove & reconstruct the roof of his mouth involved transferring bone & skin from his leg and opening up his face, which left Lee unable to talk or sing or weeks.

“I count myself as very, very blessed to have this treatment and still be alive today”.

This album will be raising funds for Guys and St. Thomas’ Hospital who took such fantastic care of Lee during his time there.
