This means you can organise your tracks by genre or mood, share these playlists to clients with a shareable link and just generally present your music in a professional and efficient manner.

How do you use the playlist feature?

If you’re not sure how to create your own playlists then don’t panic you’re in the right place. Here’s a step by step guide on how to create playlists on Music Gateway 2.0:

Step 1: Before you can do anything you need to upload files to your Music Gateway profile (if you haven’t already). You can do this by heading over to the Files tab on the left, hitting Upload Here on the right and getting your tracks up.

Step 2: Now your tracks are uploaded, click on the Playlist tab on the left and select New Playlist at the top.

Step 3: Clicking New Playlist will prompt you to give your playlist a title. For the competition simply title it: [Your Name] – Radio Competition.

Step 4: You’ll now be through to the Edit Playlist page, so now you need to add some of your tracks. To do this, hit the Add Media button at the top.

Step 5: This screen will let you select your files to put in the playlist. All you have to do is tick the ones you want and then hit Submit at the bottom.

Step 6: Your tracks are added! Now simply put your name in the Playlist Creator box, and if you wish you can customise your Playlist URL and once edited hit Save.

Step 7 (Optional): There’s a couple of extra things you can do your playlists to make them look even better:

Upload a photo by clicking on the image icon, so we can put a lovely face to the lovely music

Hitting the Options tab at the top will let you add extra details such as a Playlist Description, where you might want to give extra context about why you picked the tracks you did and how you were involved in them.

Step 8: Your Playlist is ready to go! Click the Playlist tab on the left again and copy the shareable link of your newly created playlist to send to clients.
