Best New Artists & Latest From The Roster: Miles Pascall
Miles Pascall cut his teeth touring some of the world’s biggest arenas playing drums for COSHA (formerly known as Bonzai). He did this live for 3 years & as a session musician for 7 years. But when it comes to his own work, Miles hides behind no grandiose production; choosing instead to strip everything back so that only the rawest emotions remain.
So Who Is Miles Pascall?
Miles was raised by a single mother in the unforgiving streets of London. Drawing from his ‘encyclopedia of circumstance’ allows him to create his modern-day musical memoirs. ‘For You and You Alone’ is a sonic mix of classic soul warmth juxtaposed with the cold and often faceless urbanity of London, to create a self-proclaimed ‘glorious musical hurricane’.
The Shakespeare of Shepherd’s Bush, Miles Pascall is inspired by people that are unequivocally themselves. ‘For You and You Alone’ is an undiluted internal process of questioning one’s worth. The sparse piano progresses into a subtle orchestral swell. In doing so, soundtracking the realisation that no matter what, everyone is deserving of respect and love. Something that many lose sight of in our culture of comparison.
For You And You Alone
Previously supported by BBC 6Music’s Tom Robinson & The Line of Best Fit, Miles Pascall will release ‘For You and You Alone’ on November 15th. The music video will be unveiled the following week. Miles Pascall will then feature on Music Gateway’s RISING show on Latest TV in January 2020.
We can’t wait to have Miles on the show and listen to his drumming that COSHA (Bonzai) obviously seemed to love!
