Joshua Coleman, better known as Ammo, is a music producer, songwriter, rapper and sound engineer from Los Angeles, California. He is best known for producing and writing hits for some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Flo Rida, and Pitbull.
Ammo Music began his career as a sound engineer for the record label, Aftermath Entertainment. He then moved on to producing and writing for some of the biggest names in the music industry. He has worked with artists such as Rihanna, Ne-Yo, and Usher. Ammo has also produced and written for television shows such as Glee and the movie Pitch Perfect.
Ammo is known for his unique style of production, which combines elements of hip-hop, pop, and EDM. He often uses samples from classic records to create his own unique sound. He has also been credited with helping to popularize the use of 808 drum machines and synthesizers in modern pop music.
In 2009 he signed with Prescription Songs production company owned by Dr Luke which kickstarted his career in the industry.
Ammo Music has earned numerous awards and accolades for his work. He was named one of the “Top 10 Producers of the Year” by Billboard Magazine in 2009. He was also nominated for a Grammy Award for his work on Rihanna’s “Only Girl (In the World)” in 2011.
He has been credited as a co-writer and/or producer for a number of popular artists such as Beyoncé, Kesha, Katy Perry, Pitbull, Maroon 5, Britney Spears, Jessie J, Jason Derulo, Mike Posner, Fifth Harmony, R. Kelly, Flo Rida, and Selena Gomez. Notable works include Maroon 5’s “Sugar”, Katy Perry’s “E.T.”, and Fifth Harmony’s “Work from Home”
