Mighty Hoopla

Mighty Hoopla Festival is an annual music and arts festival held in Brixton, London. It is a celebration of pop and alternative culture, featuring an eclectic mix of music, fashion, food, and entertainment. The festival is known for its vibrant and inclusive atmosphere. There are people from all walks of life coming together to enjoy the festivities.

This particular festival takes place over a weekend in June, with multiple stages featuring a diverse lineup of performers. Past headliners have included big-name acts such as Chaka Khan, All Saints, and Years & Years. As well as up-and-coming artists from a range of genres.

In addition to the music, Mighty Hoopla also features a variety of other activities and attractions. The festival’s “Glitterbox” area is a popular spot for dance parties and performances. While the “Popstars and Queers” tent showcases drag performances and other LGBTQ+ entertainment. 

There are also numerous food and drink vendors, as well as carnival rides and games. One of the defining features of Mighty Hoopla is its emphasis on inclusivity and diversity. The festival has a strong commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all attendees. Regardless of their race, gender, sexuality, or background. This is reflected in the festival’s programming. It features a wide range of artists and performers from different cultures and communities.

The festival was first held in 2017, and it was organized by the team behind Sink The Pink, a popular LGBTQ+ club night in London. The Mighty Hoopla Festival has also been praised for its commitment to sustainability, with efforts made to reduce waste and promote environmentally-friendly practices.
