In the 1940s, the Concord Music Hall became a major stop on the “Chitlin’ Circuit”, a network of venues throughout the U.S. that provided a safe space for African American musicians and artists to perform. During this time, the venue hosted some of the biggest names in African American music including B.B. King, Aretha Franklin, and James Brown.
In the 1960s, the Concord Music Hall became a major stop for rock and roll acts. During this time, the venue hosted some of the biggest names in rock and roll including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Led Zeppelin.
In the late 1970s, the Concord Music Hall closed its doors due to financial difficulties. It remained closed until the early 2000s when it was reopened by a new owner. Today, the Concord Music Hall continues to host a variety of acts including rock, hip-hop, and EDM.

Final thoughts
Overall, we are very impressed with the venue. The sound system is great and the staff are friendly and helpful. The layout of the venue is great, with plenty of room to move around and plenty of space to dance. I would highly recommend the Concord Music Hall for any event. It’s a great place to see live music.

Bike racks can be found on Milwaukee Avenue as well. Coat check is available at all of their events for $4 per item (cash and credit card accepted).
