Casio CZ 1000 Modulation
The Casio CZ-1000 offers extensive modulation capabilities with three sets of 8-stage envelope sections. One to modify the DCO pitches over time. One in the DCW to modify the Phase Angle over time (similar to filtering). Additonally, one in the DCA amplifier to adjust the volume.
It also has four types of Vibrato, Portamento for a classic glide effect, 4-note polyphony, noise and ring modulation capabilities, and is MIDI equipped with 4 monophonic multitimbral parts. However, it only has 32 patches (16 preset and 16 users) for storage.
Low Cost
The CZ-1000, with its full-sized keys, is a great low-cost option for those looking for truly useable sounds for pads and lead synth sounds. It was used by renowned artists such as Vince Clarke and Eat Static. This model was succeeded by the CZ-3000 and CZ-5000, which offer more professional features and looks but are not necessarily better than the CZ-1000.
